BLS and ALS 1ST DUE: The dispatch of 1st dues ALS/BLS units is location specific. Dispatchers must utilize the HAZLE TWP street matrix to determine responders 2nd DUE: APTS ALS 2nd Due: Either Medic 11 or Medic 23 is 2nd due (Opposite is of who is primary)
HARWOOD QRS CALLS: (Old Cranberry, Harwood, Crystal Ridge, and Hollers Hill ONLY) Harwood Fire Co QRS – 1 page only
Aeromedical: 1ST Due: University Medevac 1 2nd Due: Life Flight 3 3rd Due: Hershey LifeLion 4th Due: Pennstar 3
FIRE: Alarm cards are listed by zone by geographic area and cross referenced in street matrix.
STRUCTURAL FIRES: Refer to alarm card book. EMS is dispatched as listed in the street matrix. For confirmed fires follow special instructions specifically any joint response companies and additional tankers listed.
TECHNICAL RESCUES: Dispatch Hazle Twp Fire and appropriate EMS unit(s)
HAZMAT INCIDENTS: Dispatch Hazle Twp Fire and appropriate EMS units. Notify Luzerne Co EMA per OIC request.
MASS CASUALTY INCIDENTS: Dispatch Hazle Twp Fire and appropriate 1st due EMS units. Also Notify Hazleton General Hosp of Incident and get bed availability of County Hospitals. Follow Mass Casualty Alarm per OIC request.
FIRE-MISCELLANEOUS INCIDENTS: Includes Wires down, dumpster fires, rubbish fires, brush fires, vehicle fires, investigations, Co Alarms (illness and no illness), unknown type fires, pump details, bomb threats. Dispatch Hazle Twp Fire and appropriate EMS unit per street matrix. IT IS THE DISPATCHERS DISCRETION IF EMS IS SENT TO THESE INCIDENTS.
